Raised in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, Alejandro is no stranger to visual storytelling. He cut his teeth making short documentaries during his time in the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. From 2012 to 2013, he served as chief video editor for The Daily Northwestern. He graduated in 2014.

Following a three-month position as the resident filmmaker at The Pacific Northwest Inlander — a weekly newspaper in Spokane, WA — Alejandro enrolled at the University of Miami to pursue an MFA in Motion Pictures where he gained experience in all disciplines of filmmaking. His second-year short film, PLEDGE, was an official selection at the L.A. Shorts Awards. He graduated in May 2017, and he now lives in Harlingen, TX.
